GTA 6 map and poster: free to print on launch day, physical copy from Rockstar

The fold-out map has been part of GTA since the early days, and Rockstar has now said how you’ll get one for GTA 6. It isn’t a box-only extra this time. Here’s what was announced.
Free download from 19 November
On launch day, Rockstar will put the Leonida map and the cover art poster up as free digital downloads on the official GTA 6 website. You can print them at home or use the map as a second-screen reference while you play. You don’t need a pre-order to get them.
A physical copy from the Rockstar Store
If you want the real thing, Rockstar will sell a double-sided print (map on one side, cover art on the other) through the Rockstar Store. It’s listed at $0.99 on its own, or free with any Rockstar Store purchase. Rockstar says it will arrive “shortly after launch” but hasn’t given a date, and UK pricing and shipping haven’t been confirmed yet.
Is there a map in the box?
Unconfirmed. Rockstar’s announcement doesn’t say whether boxed copies include a printed map, and retailer flyers claiming they do haven’t been backed up by Rockstar. Earlier GTA games shipped with one, but don’t count on it until someone opens a copy on 12 November, when boxed copies reach shops.
What it means for you
- Want a map on day one? Bookmark the official GTA 6 site and grab the free files on 19 November.
- Collector? Wait for the Rockstar Store listing. Adding the print to another order gets it for nothing.
- Pre-ordered a boxed copy for the map? Check what your retailer has actually promised before relying on it.
We’ll also have our own interactive map of Leonida here once the game is out, built from our own in-game captures. Until then, sort out the rest of your launch prep with our launch day checklist, compare what each version includes in our editions and pre-order guide, and make sure you’ve got room for the 212 GB pre-load.
