Our pick today: Smyths at £64.99 is the cheapest Standard Edition we could confirm, on both PS5 and Xbox. If you want to pre-load on 10 November and play the second it unlocks, the digital version (£69.99) is worth the extra £5. Not sure which edition? See Standard vs Ultimate explained.
There’s no official Sony or Microsoft console bundle with GTA 6 at the moment, so we don’t list any bundles.
PS5 storage
GTA 6 is a download of up to 212 GB. PS5 drives must be PCIe Gen4 NVMe with a heatsink. How much space you need.
| Item | Retailer | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| WD_BLACK SN850X with Heatsink, 1 TB | Argos | £119.99 | Far cheaper than other listings we saw today: check stock |
| WD_BLACK SN850X with Heatsink, 2 TB | OnBuy | £335.99 | Marketplace seller, via PriceSpy |
| WD_BLACK SN850X with Heatsink, 2 TB | Amazon UK | £385.00 | Via PriceSpy |

| Samsung 990 Pro with Heatsink, 2 TB | Scan | £399.98 | Was £529.99 |
Our pick today: the WD_BLACK SN850X 1 TB with Heatsink at £119.99 from Argos. It holds GTA 6 four times over. SSD prices are high across the board right now, and 2 TB drives cost close to three times as much.
Xbox storage
Xbox Series X|S games only run from the internal drive or an official Storage Expansion Card.
| Item | Retailer | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seagate Storage Expansion Card, 1 TB | Argos | £239.99 | Lowest new price on PriceSpy today |
Our pick today: the Seagate 1 TB card at £239.99 from Argos. We couldn’t confirm a current new price for the 2 TB card or the WD_BLACK C50 today. Series S owners especially will need the space: GTA 6 fills more than half of it.
